Do you tout the power of social and digital media to all who will listen? Do you enjoy championing social media and all the ways it can bring a company closer to its mission and goals? Are you organized, love engaging with people online, and know how to get attention and build relationships digitally?

If so, the National Council for Behavioral Health has a Social Media Manager position tailored just for you! In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of social media and digital media project planning, design and execution, while serving as an expert and champion for interactive platforms.

What you need for this position:

  • A passion for championing social media and digital media across an organization
  • 3+ years’ experience managing social media accounts and web-based projects on a daily basis
  • Experience building and nurturing audiences across all social media platforms
  • Substantial experience defining and executing social media strategy to increase brand awareness
  • Proven ability to manage projects and services in support of social media growth
  • Demonstrative knowledge of web publishing and digital marketing
  • Experience managing web analytics applications, such as Google Analytics and native platforms
  • Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills
  • Experience creating compelling copy for blogs and websites
  • Nonprofit and behavioral health experience strongly preferred
  • BS/BA required

What you’ll be doing in this position:

  • Oversee the National Council’s voice and messaging across all social media platforms
  • Serve as an on-site social media expert and coach to other staff and departments
  • Create an implement digital communication plans to support National Council initiatives
  • Research, analyze and create reports around key performance indicators/metrics/analytics
  • Offer recommendations to maximize site rankings and lead efforts to increase brand visibility
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the user experience and drive consumer engagement
  • Monitor conversations and spearhead discussions to amplify our thought leadership online
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, identifying relevant market, website and consumer needs
  • Collaborate with design and technology teams to create key improvements and experiences
  • Work with teams and departments to design and deliver projects that support our vision and needs
Contribute to the design, quality and deployment of visual communications across social media
